Africa's food system is full of potential, yet constrained by gaps in production, processing, logistics, nutrition, and market access. The Food Systems Innovation Challenge identifies and supports early-stage innovators developing practical, scalable solutions that strengthen the entire value chain.

We back innovators building solutions that improve food security, expand nutrition access, and create meaningful economic opportunities across the continent.

Who Can Apply

The challenge is open to early-stage innovators, startups, researchers, youth-led and women-led teams working to solve critical food system challenges.

If you are developing a viable and scalable solution that improves how Africa grows, processes, transports or consumes food, you are invited to apply.
